I haven't written the past two months because I have been going through some very hard times, which have forced me into the cave of my room. A place where I find comfort in my warm comfortable bed and side table that also acts as a refrigerator and dining room table so I never have to leave! It was been a difficult transition for me, but I have also noticed that other people's lives are mirroring that of my own. My challenges are not so unique. As I find myself withered, crawling out of the darkness and finding my way towards that hint of light in the distance, I must admit that I am becoming more aware of my spiritual path now, more than ever. This is what I have discovered.

I understand now, that we are in a strong energetic cycle that is pulling us towards our purpose in life. I believe very strongly, that we choose our "destiny" or our spiritual path for ourselves, with the help of God, master spirit guides (angels) and loved ones. This past year, more than ever, people have been pushed beyond their comfort zones, which has given us the opportunity to figure out what we want, who we are and what it is precisely, that we want our lives to be. Maybe some of you, like myself, have tried out different career options to find one that really speaks to you. Maybe some of you have had the earnest desire to travel, to seek adventure and to feel free. Some of you may have found that it's as though a relationship has been severed with a knife, feeling like it came out of nowhere. Or perhaps this relationship is breaking apart in fragments like ice. The past year has been full of ups and downs, and has been pushing one's comfort zone with patience. With many people unemployed and the economy failing, we have had to prioritize what exactly it is that will bring fulfillment. We have had plenty of time to discover this about ourselves, so the last two months have been about taking action; no longer only wishing, hoping and praying. The purpose of breaking out of these comfort zones is intended to remove barriers we have built for protection that no longer need to be there. For example, reaching out to others in time of need and realizing the importance of community (think of the fires in Colorado and the flooding of Hurricane Sandy). We have been so used to operating in a detached mindset from those around us, not realizing that we are all brothers and sisters. We are all connected to one another and deserve compassion always, even in the midst of our mistakes.

When it comes to what we really want, we have to be genuinely honest with ourselves. If we want to find love, we will be pushed to find it. Any reaction to run back and hide will not work, because running from the soul's yearning desire will instill opposition. Opposition is simply a tool being used to set us back on track. NOW is the time to put those desires into action. That is one reason why the economy is suffering and certain systems are failing. Those "old" systems are no longer what people want- the old systems are not serving our higher being. Corporations that do not serve the individual with empowerment, good health, security and confidence, are not going to be successful unless a society believes in it. How can the soul achieve what it needs to, with this kind of system in place? It can't. For many, the only way a person will choose to follow their path is to be forced into it. I, myself, am being forced into many things outside of my comfort zone. I have to stand up for myself. I am being forced to stop the manipulation, passive aggressive reactions and aggression taking place in my life. I am being forced to recognize that a conventional career will not bring me happiness, fulfillment or purpose. I am being forced to realize that having faith in myself is the only way I will achieve true success.
One thing we all do, is find reasons for our mistakes and failures. Who can we blame for the doubt we have in ourselves? We may ask ourselves, who can take responsibility for the reason why I haven't been able to find love? I find myself doing that too....until recently I wondered- what would happen if those situations and attitudes were eliminated? Would I still feel resistance? The truth, is that I would because I have agreed with others that I cannot achieve the success I want. I have agreed to accept how others defined me, long before I even figured out how to define myself. The reality is that, those are only projections. It really isn't fair to your soul, that you would allow another person to "make" you into the person you are today. YOU must define YOU. Allowing a family member, friend or society define who you are, will only hinder your success. It is necessary to acknowledge that another person's actions did in fact bring you to a fork in the road because we must have gratitude for the situations that have motivated us to question who we want to be.

We must have discernment when deciding what boundaries are no longer necessary to have in place and what boundaries need to be established. We need to be able to clearly and definitively define what behavior we will not tolerate from others and ourselves. Should another person really MAKE you into who you are today? Certainly not!! You are full of divine light, beauty and purety because of you. Be proud of the light you give to others and be content with your own Divine beauty. Awareness is key. Being aware that you are bothered by another person's behavior, may allow you to establish boundaries with that person. It may also bring awareness to how you feel about yourself. How better to recognize these traits in oneself, then to first see them in those who are closest to us? The best way to know how you DON"T want to be, is to see others acting in a way you do not approve of. It is at that particular moment, we stop and think, "I never want to be like that." Without that thought process, change would be slow, and perhaps minor. This is a fast paced time that encourages swift change.

The moment we accept that unconditional love is exactly what we deserve, it will flow effortlessly. The same is true of taking a leap of faith. When we do what we are meant to do, it won't feel like work and it won't be draining. It will be purely fulfilling, uplifting, exciting and freeing. If your angels believe in you and you believe in you, you truly cannot fail. You will be guided every step of the way. You will know what is right. You will know discernment. You will see every detail on this spiritual map we call life.
